I have been gone way too long. Honestly though, every day or two I get online and think - time to upddate my blog - then try and think of something interesting to write about. Nothing sister!!
Easter was great, had Tom and Carolyn and Charlie's Simone, and her Uncle (my good mate Steve) and his wife Jan, all to stay at various times during the 5 days, went into Darwin and partied and then came back here and fished and sight-seed (or is it sight-saw??) But try as I might I cannot extract from any of them any photos taken during their holiday so that I could create a story around the pics. I have no camera (between cameras I think they call it) at present, so all I had was the trusty phone, and really they don't take very good pics.
Anyhow, I do have a bit of a story for you, dullish as it is (but very exciting for me of course!)
OK, let me introduce the house I bought in Wyndham last year for about $60,000. Very new and renovated inside, but outside??? Well....
Then I got some great tennants (How lucky am I - I actually have FOUR sets of tennants who actually PAY THE RENT !!)
But these do more than pay the rent. They spoke about painting the outside of the house. As luck would have it, I actually had purchased the paint for the outside of my house in the mistaken belief that one of my precious sons would do it for me, but (to be fair) his ongoing renovations of his own home didn't leave him the time for that. So I told the tennants where to find the paint, and before I had time to think about the possible stuff-ups that could have resulted from divulging that information, they sent me the pics by email. A week later.

I'm thinking a rich thick mediterranean yellow-gold for the trims, Si??
The colour is actually purple, but I know it looks blue in the pics - always DID want a purple house !!!! And how good does the garden look now?? I'd forgotten how devoid of garden the place was when I bought it. Oh, and just for the record, I am now informed that the place (even before painting) is worth at least $150,000 now, but I'm gonna sit.
Hasta Manana~ ...

Wow, Pin.
It doesn't even look like the same place. What great tenants. The garden looks great too.
You must be feeling just sooo good about your investment.
Good On Ya
I agree, not even the same place.
I bet you love your tenants about now! Fabulous investment.
I have a comedian friend who is touring the country and is playing in Wyndham. He is RUDE, crude and bloody gorgeous!

He's in Wyndham next Friday night, would you let any wicked friends who'd get a kick out of this, know?
Here is some pictures, videos and tourdates.

Wow, what a change! Looks great!
So you're our next (first) family real estate mogul, hey? It seems to be where the money is at the moment.
Being a bit partial to purple myself, I totally know where you're coming from. I reckon the yellow trims would set it off just beeoodifully!
I always loved this castle on top of a hill in BH, and said if I ever owned it, i'd paint it bright red or yellow... it's not like a castle blends in anyway, hey? LOL
Good to hear from you,
The house looks great!
It's also great that you found good tenants, they are very hard to find now-days.
Nice little nest egg too! Gotto be happy with that.
Good to see you back on, i LOVE your stories.
XXOO
Hey everyone, thanks for all your comments, I'm really pleased with the result. I know it's not the Taj Mahal, but it's a big improvement. Beckie, will tell the Wyndham lot about your mate, I think he'll be at the pub, asnd Carolyn will prolly be working there that night anyway (she moonlights at the pub after her days as hospital admin officer). I'll tell her to say "Beckie sent you".
