Tom was due to race on Sunday last, not the week before as many of you thought ..... I arrived in Wyndham at about 3.30 on Friday afternoon (920 km trip), and had passed Tom and Carolyn somewhere between Wyndham and Kununurra. Tom was going down for a practice before the big night on Sunday. As luck (Tom's luck!!) would have it, he was cut off by another rider during practice - crashed - and broke a bone in his foot, so he was unable to race. Anyhow, we all ended up going to the Kimberley Moon experience on the Saturday night, and had a wonderful time. There must have been about 15 of us all together, in a crowd of somewhere near 4,000 people, and it was a GREAT night.

Then the next day, I had been invited to Jane's place for a get together of some of the Wyndham women for a drink (like we hadn't had enough the night before!!!!)
After I got there and people started arriving with birthday presents I realised that my dear old mates Jane and Robin had arranged an early birthday party for me.... How bluddy priveledged am I?

So, all in all, a totally terriffic weekend (pity I had another 900 km drive at the end), but it was a nice drive, no problems.....

Looks like a great time was had by all!
Isn't it funny how you think nothing of driving those distances when you live outbush, but you can't drive 15 mins when you live somewhere like the Sunny Coast?!! That's what it was like for us, anyway... anyone else?
Oh, and I just found another reason for the toilet-paper-rolling-towards-the-wall debate: When the kids try to "spin" the roll, it doesn't all unroll on the floor!!!! I actually couldn't be bothered putting it on correctly (rolling towards the wall, for the uninitiated) last time, and came into the toilet one day to find paper ALL OVER THE FLOOR/TOILET... i'm sure they would've stuck it to the walls if they were creative enough to figure out how!!!
Anyway, my point is (yes, I do have one) that there is a very legitimate reason for the way I 'mount' my toilet paper!
And yes, there is a kilojoule limit to each post... but you already done figured that out, din ya?

Happy birthday (not 100% on exact date, sorry). Looks like you were spoilt and had plenty of loving friends with you, albeit early.
My god, I havent seen Tom since he was about 12. When he lived in BH, I lived in QLD so I havent seen him grown up. Say hi to him for me?

Yeah Beck, Marcia is always good, isn't she??? She sang some of her old hits, and got everyone going... BUT, we had Kate Cebrano las year, and them's pretty big shoes to fill !!!
