I was gonna get pay TV. Thought it would be great out here where I can only get a couple of channels properly, but I had a bit of a fight with the Austar man this week, and have pulled the pin. Three weeks I waited for the technician to come and connect me, then on the designated day I waited home all day - (coz apparently they can't give you ANY IDEA of the time they will get there - can't even tell you if it'll be morning or afternoon...) This was a Saturday, and NOTHING. So I also waited home for part of Sunday, but it was Mother's day and a Champagne Brunch at the Croc resort beckoned me, sides, I didn't think he'd come that day. So bright and early Monday morning I rang to see if I would have to come home when he came to install and guess what?? He'd gone back to Darwin. Completely forgot about me. But hey, he's coming back in 2 weeks again, he can fit me in then he thinks!! So I ring Austar and tell them that's not gonna work for me and I will cancel.... OH no no no they say, we'll get him there A.S.A.P..... OK a week later I ring and say... so, when's he coming??? Two weeks they say. Prolly not (sez I), stick it.
So I went and bought a bluddy new special camera.
Some pics of my house here.
First is my computer corner... My friend Chrissie is playing Harry potter.!!!

Then we have the kitchen....

The lounge.....

The bedroom.....

The Gazebo.... (not a very good angle)

Lastly, Bills new bike....

OK, I can't leave it there.....
This is a work of art created by my VERY talented friend Jane in Wyndham. This is ME!!!! Notice all the details.... wine, cigarettes etc.. ???

Fare well, thanks VERY MUCH for all the wisecracks.... Suze, Mother's Day was pretty good, but all day I kept thinking of that one we had in the Hill when the blokes looked after the kids and we all did a club crawl getting all the Mum's Day freebies!!! That was a great one, wasn't it???

Your house is just as I imagined it! Im loving your loungeroom and the art work your clever friends made.
P.S. I think I remember that mother's day. It was my birthday too (like this past mothers day) and the blokes held a BBQ in the backyard of Chapple lane. Not a mum in site. Was this the same one?
Oh and Bills bike is hot!
Did any of your friends go to Jimbos Big Night in at the Wyndham pub?
Love your posts Pinnie! Looking forward to seeing lots more photos now you have that new camera in hand! Have you managed a ride on Billy's new machine? Before I hit the schoolroom - how is Joe's knee?
Chrissie
Thanks for the comments guys - Yeah Beck, that would be the same time, I remember the backyard BBQ was happenning.. Yes, apparently there was quite a mob there for Jimbo, Carolyn said that she was working so didn't get to see much, but the crowd seemed happy !!
Chrissie - Joe's leg after um.....
9 months is still giving him heaps. He's got a trip to Perth in the next few weeks for re-assessment with the surgeon who did his op. Maybe more surgery, not sure. I'll let him know you asked, thanks!
PIN
Love the snaps of your abode. and your friends artwork, how clever.
Funny you should mention the 'child free and lots of freebies' mothers days as i was thinking of those this m/day. The golfie and the rsl in cobar put on fantasic full days for the mummas and I do recall staggering home feeling a little bit guilty because I had disappeared for the day. This feeling didn't last long though.
mmmm i wonder if Bill will give me a dink? or maybe throw me the keys....i won't be long.
Amie and Lindy rang this morning and they're all very excited about our reunion. I can't wait either for that and my party. I am thinking of doing a theme, maybe the good old 1957's for my 50th that weekend. What do you think? Any suggestions?
LOL@ dink. Now there's a word I havent heard in a while!
Dont give her the keys, she's a mad woman on a motorbike!
Oooh, I love your house!
That 'mini pinny' your friend made is fabulous! How talented is she?
We ordered Foxtel about 2 months prior to getting it, and the sales people said "so can you be home sometime in april?" Um, yes, I guess i could be!! They are terrible aren't they?
I love Bill's bike too.... Shiny!
I see you've got some local artwork? Love the colours... must get me some of that...
Mini Pinny is a good likeness, I reckon. What a talent that lady is! Were you her first? Coz I reckon there'd be a good market for her work.
Hope they can do sometin for Joe's leg... God, they can get a footballer back on the field in a few weeks after a break, maybe we need to get one of their specialists in, hey? Sending healing thoughts your way, Joe. Bet your motorbike's missing you... (or are you back on it and giving it hell already?)
I hear you're flying down for the reunion, Pin? I had a link on McBlog for the Lodge Motel near Mum and Dad's if you want to book there. It's nice and near a ride out to Mulberry Vale, anyway, and I think Lindy and Goges were going to stay there.
Will post some photos of my new place soon, I SWEAR!!! (%^%&^^%&$&%%^#^$%^*#%)
